@relic1980: It isn't that difficult thing to fix. You put in a guard and stop using a cheep drive.

@GiR: Idle means turned on, but not running a game. When it's turned off the power consumption is negligible.

I guess the early xbox's broke before they could play RDD on them.

I don't think the Wii has much life left. We're getting to the point where people are used to seeing HD quality graphics/TV. When they turn their Wii on they're reminded how inferior SD looks to HD.
