Right, for years now the Switch has remained a great indie platform for certain genres. I think the key thing that most people forget is that even if the Switch hardware itself isn’t in direct competition with Steam Deck, the game sales are. This is where most of the earnings are made.
Another thing is that I am confident that the games I buy on PC/Steam will be future compatible (assuming there is a Steam Deck 2).
People who want a handheld indie machine likely already have a Switch. Most hardcore PC gamers would probably rather take advantage of their supercharged specs or use M&K.
