Ah, “properly”. Yes. I have a feeling the alternative approach involves a bunch of shims of various sizes that are fit in different permutations for each model. Or maybe there is a more universal backplate that can be drilled out in different ways to fit mounting holes in different models.
If anything, they’re much smaller now. Aside from maybe different wiring, don’t you think they could just put spacers in there or something?
