Regarding your first point, I think the popularity of diesel engines in 3/4 ton and heavier pickup trucks may have more to do with their towing and hauling performance than their fuel consumption. Granted, they do use less fuel than the gas engines offered in the same trucks, but it's still a lot.

Working on finding them, Ford hasn't pubbed yet. I know, kinda bullshit considering 70% of their sales are 4WD.

I guess after looking at the price differential between the EcoDiesel and the EcoBoost this is looking pretty good. 26 mpg wasn't quite as good as I was hoping, but still probably the best deal in the truck market. Especially considering the price of gas currently. I'm curious to see how well the real world numbers

The 2.7 Ecoboost has an extra 42 hp and a whopping extra 123 lb-ft of torque over the NA V6. To have better fuel economy on top of that? Better economy numbers are also much more attainable with forced induction, and results will differ even more under load. Sounds like a win-win to me...

Can anyone here do math?

26 mpg on the highway with the 2.7L Ecoboost isn't far behind the Ram 1500 Ecodiesel's 28 mpg rating, and on gasoline to boot. Not bad.

I love my Raptor. It's the perfect vehicle for where I live. That's the honest answer.

I'm sponsored by Ford, and therefore I drive whatever car they would like me to drive in it.

120 miles an hour

I've actually thought about it. I'd like to take the Hoonicorn up it.

All the ones you actually see are all picture cars.

What are your thoughts on a cut up SHO Taurus into a rally fighter?

BLOCK! You gonna bring that 'Stang to Sno*Drift?

Yes, please! :D

I imagine it's got some flamethrower/smoke machine type shit for extra drama.

So does that have bad rings, is it a diesel or is it set up to smoke like that?
