Right? I found that odd as well. Maybe it's something with that color that they have to lay it over a black base coat? Or it was a one off color for #1 and would be too cost prohibitive to stop the line to add a non-production color into the paint shop for one car?
@3.5: they're doing that right now. It's called Lincoln Black Label. You can order MKZs and MKCs in special paint colors with bespoke interiors with much better materials and colors, like lots of suede and softer leathers.
