Although I (obviously) agree that Melissa Fumero is all sorts of amazing, I also just really love Amy as a character and she's probably the one I'd like the most in real life.

I also look forward to this. Maybe you just forgot to mention it, but my main motivation to want to see this movie is because it has Jessica Chastain. She's the best.

I love how accurate they all are, not only that Jake/Boyle would do these things, but also that the other would be annoyed by it. It really shows how well thought out this show is, and how invested the writers are in their characters: they're all actually people (weird, funny people, but still), and the writers care…

well, the first season had The Party which is still my favorite. But yes, this season is shaping up to be better overall.

I think it's now safe to say that there's an almost perfect correlation between the overall quality of the episode and how good Amy is in it.

Sure, I love her too. She's a stellar actress and did a great job with what she had. In fact, all the leading actors did well and were able to elevate the film to something more than just the sum of brilliant images. Still, more Chastain would've been nice :-)

I also went to see Interstellar this weekend. Your assessment of Chastain's role is interesting, as I felt that she was quite underused. In general, it was my main fear that all the great actors would suffer from such a problem: some reviews I read seemed to hint on that. However, I think Chastain was the only one who…
