I'm going to be that guy and post an automatic. Why? Because this one is so different from the norm and its beauty stems from that.

Nothing more beautiful than an open gate manual. So I'll go with the Audi R8, because it is the only one made today, and most likely the last ever.

It's hard to beat a classic. It looks good in practically every car, automatic and manual.

Some transit is definitely better than others. I can't stand buses, but I love the Metro. Trains/subways tend to be better

Unless you freelance and have a unusual schedule, most cities with public transit have routes and times that cover the morning and evening commutes. Especially places with a metro/subway system.

If you ever move to a large city, you will change your mind quickly. Public transit works in dense urban areas. Trying to drive through them, along with everyone else, at the same time generally does not work.

Hear, hear! Although I agree that more people taking public transit would free up roads. But wouldn't that also mean car markers would no focus on enthusiast models because more people are spending time on trains and buses?

Put the engine and drivetrain into a C4 for maximum trolling.

That's funny. The early first-gens looked weird, and looked weirder now. It took a couple rounds of wheel designs and facelifts to get it right I think. By contrast, I think the second-gen was great when it launched and the later tweaks didn't actually make it better.

I still think the XK is way better looking, and looks more like the E-type. the rounde mouth and more fingernail like headlights definitely look more classy than the shouty mouth of the F-type, which is still a great looking car.

I agree... Zac, you've beaten this horse enough already. The car is fine, but the ad is fantastic. For once, I actually want a Cadillac. And it's because this ad made me proud to be an American, not a Western European socialist suffering through 14% unemployment, constant bailouts and government run everything.

Seriously, what's with all the hate on this ad among the Jalopnik staff? I and many other commenters enjoyed it. Stupid car, but the ad is sound.

The ELR ad has grown on me. And all the hatred for it on Jalopnik suggests to me that it has served its purpose well.

This. Seriously, Jalopnik's undying hatred for that ad either proves they don't understand humor (very possible) or that they hate anyone with an over-inflated work ethic.
