Every time I read an article about the new trucks it just makes me more and more depressed my little guy can only haul about 5000 pound. For a first vehicle however I couldn't have anything better!

Come on guys if you are going to make a Raptor competitor at least give it a set of tires worthy of the job, and no bro truck wheels.

Ed Cole. He was fundamental in developing the Chevy small block. Arguably one of the best engines in history.

Booooo it should have looked like this!

Innovation at its finest ladies and gentlemen.

You summed of the beauty of a capitalistic free market. Competion between manufactures and the rest of us benefit.

You make great points and I agree its a global economy in todays world. I just argue (without a lot of facts I admit) that buying a vehicle made by an American company does more for the country as a whole than buying a vehicle owned by a foreign company. Even if it is built in the US

Bit emotional, more economic. I understand the parts come from around the world however at the end of the day it is still an American company getting my dollars. Even if one of them is owned by Fiat

All three of those trucks were also made in Michigan and countless other plants in the U.S. Furthermore the profits go back to American companies whereas Toyota, Nissan, etc. do not.

My dads 2000 F150 170,000 miles on it, only problem it has had is exhaust problems. My 2000 S10 has 105,000 miles on it and its only problem was the brake lines at 70,000 miles. We can argue all day about miles/problems, honestly unless you have a lemon it comes down to how the owner cares for it.

And they excel in that market last time I checked.

I have always had a problem with foreign trucks. Call me truck prejudice but if America excels at one thing in the Auto industry it is building trucks. So why do people buy trucks from non-American manufactures?

Neutral: I like a good surprise from the auto shows. Will I get one from Chicago? Doubtful but a guy can dream.

Just gut feeling due to weight savings

Funny to see all these giant American cars next to the smaller more efficient European cars. Stark contrast.

Opps you are right I meant high

They are all doomed anyways the aluminum F-150 will have historically low gas milage. I have seen the future and it is good.

Maybe I'm alone but I love this thing

Absolutely, that's the reason I can never see myself buying the European options. The American are just as fast or faster and cheaper.
