All the plumbing in my 108 year old house here in the NY capital region is brand new, installed by me. The line going into my water meter, owned by the city, is lead. They did give me a sweet new wireless water meter a couple years ago though!

I took my DD, a WJ to 3", then 4.5", and finally a year and a half ago to 7". The only regret I have is not going straight to 7" years ago. Yea my mileage sucks, but it wasn’t great to begin with.
In 20 years your smart garage will do it for you, assuming your self driving car and self wheeling jeep don’t fix themselves.
When I ripped the carpet out of my Jeep WJ (and after welding a few patches into the floor) I ended up doing four layers on the interior. An epoxy primer, some spray on sound insulation, some spray on thermal insulation, and bed liner. It’s not quite as quiet as the carpet, but it’s a lot quieter than the bare metal…
WJs are my favorite, but man they really did an unfortunate number on that one.
That picture of two green XJs in some yard could have been taken from my porch looking across the street, or an hour away in my girlfriend’s parents’ backyard. I honestly don’t think I know anyone who owns one XJ, but I know plenty of people who own 2 or more.
I’m late to the party, but: Monstaliner. Never worry about scratches again, rolls on, comes in any color you want.
