Done! Hey...why does mine look so much different than yours?

The Trabant, mostly for the social and historical irony.

I take this a step further and stick to buying cars for close to their value in scrap metal. There is literally no risk to this method of car buying. Personally, the new car smell can't hold a candle to the feeling of watching the tow truck arrive with your new-to-you car.

And Direct Exhaust Injection. And electric Superchargers.

Devil's advocate here: perhaps those three colors are the cheapest, since VAG no doubt buys them in quantities rivaled only by Sergio's sweater orders. Hence the 20k price.

For real though, the FF Sportwagen needs to happen.

Awesome article! But...who the hell is Guigaro?

It's a car video in which someone does something stupid. Of course I was watching for the Viper.

That lack of a question mark at the end of the last sentence though.

You need to go to Cars and Coffee, first Saturday of every month. The great thing about the Lane is that they actually DRIVE the cars at the museum, so at the last C&C they brought a Lamborghini Uracco, a Renault Sport Spider, an Evo 6, and IIRC the Honda Beat. They brought the Lancia Delta Integrale and a Renault

A university is really the ideal place to do this though, and I'm surprised that many students haven't taken to living in old, small campers and parking them in the university parking garages. Showers are readily available at the gym, internet is almost always free campus-wide, there are plenty of places to hang out

Grrr all this talk of 912s makes me want to finish up the restoration on my '66. I got it (or rather was given it by a coworker) in boxes so I've never had a chance to drive it!

Agreed. I've always liked that it managed to be the fastest production car without taking on the very cool but ubiquitous "supercar wedge" shape. While not necessarily beautiful like the Bugattis of old, it looks confident but restrained.

I started out working on old cars (I still do and still love it). I've worked my way up to working on more and more modern cars, and you know what? They're simpler.

But...I don't feel like a moron.
