When I was a kid, I loved the games, cartoons (yes, both of em') and comic books, and I didn't mind at all that there wasn't any continuity shared between them. Each medium has its own strengths and weaknesses; it's a missed opportunity to homogenize them all for the sake of "brand synergy."
