You are part of the solution. Thank you, from a bicycle commuter who is also a car enthusiast.

I am acutely aware of Michigan’s lax regulations, but he has a single tail light and no license plate. Even Detroit wouldn’t approve that.

Trailer.

Funny how they dance around the topic but never explicitly state it!

Really? When considering an unfinished, 40 year old kit car based on an 80 year old car design, one of your top concerns is crash protection? The crash protection is as follows.

One could begin by talking about one’s concept for the piece, instead of rambling on about D E S I G N. I was kind of disappointed that he didn’t tell us why he was building this.

Doesn’t appear to be street legal, so it would pretty much have to be a gallery piece or a Maker Faire parade vehicle.

Did you just comment with a blank post? What is text?

Just a note to everyone... READ THE FILE NAMES. ALL OF THEM.

Opel Kapitan... and did you read the article?

Opel Kapitan P2, 1959-1963. But as the OP says, cars may have been added after the original bunch.

My F-100 has a textured rubber floor mat over painted steel, so you can brush the floor mat off, then lift it up and brush it off the paint. Since the door sill is lower than the floor, it falls right out with little effort. It works fairly well and I do recommend it if you have a similar sill design (doesn’t look

It would also be great to improve public transit so they don’t have to own a car. Many communities have neighborhood shuttles that take people to the grocery store, or even on-call rides to hospital appointments.

So what allows the bugs to get through? Tall tires? Rally cars usually run special dirt tires, but they often have snow tires around too for winter events. Maybe another set of wheels/tires wouldn’t be a big deal, but I guess the lift kit would be.

Awesome. I have Andy Thompson’s Cars of Eastern Europe book, but haven’t seen the price on his Russian car book go down so haven’t gotten to peruse Moskvitch history much. Unfortunately it appears that the restored pedal cars are $1000-1500 on Ebay!

Don’t forget take your Cobra down to the track hitched to the back of a Cadillac!

Being a Volvo guy, I assume you had an unhealthy connection to the cardboard box the pedal car came in? hehe

And shit, they were probably easier to get a hold of than an actual Moskvitch! Where are they for sale these days?!
