No it's not. The only thing it shares is the front floor pan, part of the transmission hump, and the front frame rails when Ford was trying to use the Jag platform for the Mustange before it got too expensive. That hardly qualifies it as a "shortened version"

I owned one. Sold it after 6 months. I liked my 2000 MUCH better. It may have been much slower, but it was much lighter. Lightness > Power
