302's are very short and Dana 28's are very small. I'm sure I can make room. Plus, I'm only going to run an alternator and p/s pump and I can run those up high.

Not the entire drivetrain, just the transfer case, the front differential, and maybe the viscous coupling center diff.

I have to perpetually turn my steering wheel to the right to go straight in my '97 Ranger.

You could get a manual in an Aerostar (one of the main reasons why I love them) but that just makes it easier to get into neutral.
