Our defense minister is an idiot to blame waze for Arab violence. And he proved that he’s an idiot many times before...

Waze is great and all, but the simple fact that it’s very easy to become a map editor is exactly the reason it shouldn’t be used by any military for routing.

A lot of people don’t realize the U.S. never intended to invade Iraq the second time, but some soldiers in Saudi Arabia were using apple maps at the time and it just kind of... happened.

Um...that’s like saying I (*) shouldn’t drive a nice car through the slums of Detroit. Is it a bad idea? Yes. Do I “deserve to get attacked” No.

I don’t know, why would you expect not to get attacked if you’re rioting and throwing molotavs at the IDF?

Let’s be clear here, this is not an issue with Waze. If Israel wants to be a technological powerhouse, it should have a command and control structure that does not direct their troops with consumer level apps.

Waze navigates roads, not political and social environments.

Waze is user updated and very easy to ‘adjust’

Why would Waze issue a statement?

I think in Russia there is a potentially higher threat level than SWAT/riot control in the US.

Would you throw a Molotov at the Russian police or FSB! At least the US police have oversight, in Russia your torso would end up in a shallow grave outside Moscowow and your limbs in Siberia.

It doesn’t fit through McDonald’s drive thru, I tried yesterday

Now playing

Here’s a TOW missile bouncing off a T-90.

Make jerry a random picture dump post twice a week?

Wheel guards are for crowd control or urban situations and would be removed in other theaters.

Yes, actually the RPG will take out the Striker, as a direct hit to the tires will ignite them and the hydrostatic fluid. But then the Striker will often kill it’s electronics operator when it crashes, which is happing too often.

It’s a BearCat, basically, with extra panels added for looks. Riot vehicles are supposed to look scary.

If heavy weapons were that easy to get, don’t you think at least one would have already been used against the government already? Whatever Russia is today, it can not escape its history. Its own people are the biggest threat to its dictators. A Kiev-style populous uprising is what would keep Putin awake at night. No

The same reason they’d name it the “Punisher” or “Chastiser”

And RPGs would be flying all over the place in a political protest/urban riot in Russia? Go back to playing Call of Duty and leave the grown-up discussions to the adults.
