I know this blog is “Murica uber alles” and all, but coupled with S-400 and other toys, it would give FU-22 a run for its money.
I got to sit in a blackbird cockpit at Edwards Air Force base in the 1980s because my step father worked in lockheeds skunk works in Burbank and in Palmdale. I bought the f-19 testers model stealth plane and all he would say about it is he had never seen it before. Also I was there as a guest of the USAF when the 117…
I mean, why aren’t we allowed to march into an air force base and sit in an F-22? Or at the president’s desk in the Oval Office? We paid for all that too.
Except that Foxtrot Alpha is free-for-all; at least that’s what Tyler wants it to be. That’s what separates Foxtrot Alpha (and perhaps Jalopnik as a whole) from the rest of the Gawker media.
Russia has always had a good few subs in operation.... I’m pretty sure the Northern Fleet has more subs than surface ships.
Personally, I think its fine that they’re deploying ‘em. We’ll have more cool pictures to look at...
Ah, the good old days. When Russia was run by a harmless drunk, and the US was run by a harmless philanderer. Well, harmless unless you were an intern. But globally speaking, yeah.
Ballaban are you holding Tyler hostage in your basement and making him feed you political stories?
After 3 years, NATO has realized that Russia rehearsed nuclear attack on Sweden? I wonder how they have understood it, and why it took 3 years?
Honestly, I don’t disagree with what you are saying. It was more of a ‘things to consider’ rather than we shouldn’t do this. The cost/benefit analysis is too great to be ignored and it would be a near perfect long range standoff platform. Honestly I’m surprised there haven’t been prototypes made from old 747 air…
Lord knows I have my umbrage with Tyler, but that Biddle piece literally made me laugh out loud. It’s so wrong, it’s not even wrong.
You’re asking Sam Biddle to understand something? Good luck.
....... *a single tear rolls down cheek while remembering the F-14*
I think Sam Biddle should have consulted Tyler Rogoway before writing his article about the DOD announcement yesterday.
