to be fair, he is still contributing openly. it says he is engaged in local politics and blogs often. granted, that's not huge amounts, but it's not isolation.

Yeah, I have a friend who has done this as well. It's silly. Living off of other's excesses is not living without cost.

What, you mean private investors? The Wright Brothers made a plane on private funding, for instance. Or do you mean it being a resource gathering and mining? What can't you compare it to?
