Honestly this thing is an affront to a carbon-free/reduced future. It is an abomination. It’s maker(s) should be tarred and feathered.

not much of a “subsidy” and a lot of things comes from taxpayers pockets that never directly affect them. Lets not pretend that you are able to utilize everything that was subsidized by your taxes.

Yeah, this is what happens when you have Big Oil Corpos in charge.

‘stupid petty’ - i think that sums up the texas legislature pretty aptly. Same group is trying to force banks and investors and other companies to do business with oil companies as well.

Take this and a few other seized vessels and tow them up to New York Harbor. Give the migrants seeking asylum a safe place to stay while the crew gets paid to maintain the ship.

Even besides the rooftops, they should be making solar paneled parking lots. I think back to the office I used to work at in California. 3 parking lots shared across 2 office buildings (owned by the same company) on a nice flat area with no big shadows. A check on Google shows the area of the parking lot is 181.5

Never was a fan of the MK8 GTI. I always thought the MK7 looked a lot cleaner.

The Titter thing is just ABSOLUTE cringe.

Purely a move to stick it to the people who complained. I still don’t understand how this is the golden ticket idea to profitability.

It’s a stupid move on Musk’s part. Mingling paid blue checks with legacy blue checks was actually a smart move in an awful kind of way - it let the paid blue checks “steal valor”.  Now maybe we can just assume they’re all paid again and block accordingly.

The issue with your statement is that the industry itself has been the biggest roadblock to alternatives.

Those are the companies conservatives insist should be taxed LESS, aren’t they?

Great critique. Bret wants “market solutions” like a carbon tax because “statist” solutions are bad. Here’s some news for Bret (and every conservative who espouses this bullshit): Market solutions ALWAYS (no exceptions) require the state to come in and create the market, establish its boundaries, regulate its conduct,

Like all conservatives, everything is just bullshit projection.

Welp, I almost made it a full day without my head exploding off of my body due to conservative-induced rage. So, you know, thanks for that.

That’s just a great analysis of the bullshit Bret piece. I read it today and was left scratching my head. It just didn’t hit like he was someone who was converted. It’s like a Trump voter later saying, “I was never that into him, but now I see how one might view him negatively.” Kind of a, “but ya know... what’re ya

Bret Stephens, the New York Times columnist with a long history of bad conservative takes—the same man who decided to quit Twitter after he threw a fit over being called a bedbug—says he’s changed.

Canyonero!!!!!

just because you’re an auto enthusiast doesnt mean you have to ignore all the issues that come along with them, and by acknowledging the issues, and simply doing better.

I know people are angry at the oil companies for being greedy with prices but people really need to get angry at city planners and zoning laws.
