Seems like Christmas lawsuits are coming out earlier and earlier every year.

I promise that if you’re killed by space debris, it will be news, no matter whose space debris it is.

Well, yes, smartass. By encouraging people to overconsume a finite resource that directly leads to pollution and climate change by making the price artificially low, they are in fact hurting their citizens. Similar to meat subsidies and corn subsidies. If people had to pay the true cost of fuel, they might change

Just in the US, each year, oil and gas companies DO HAPPILY APPLY FOR AND RECEIVE literal billions in tax credits from the US government. There’s no debating this fact, and it’s been going on for decades upon decades. And that’s just tax credits... it does not include other incentives, depreciation on equipment,

Yeah, I was excited to read about how he had specifically targeted that house and plotted out his approach to get airborne and crash into the house.  Very disappointing.

I would honestly love a tiny EV coupe for commuting that has both a small battery and decent range (because the car itself is so small).

He has a point though.

Given the battery pack, power train, and luxury appointments it will probably be closer in weight to the Hummer EV, so more like > 9,000 lbs.

The word coupe doesn’t actually mean anything in the automotive world anymore, so my guess is it’s just an uglier Equinox with a less useful cargo area.

Just bring the Fiero back, make it look good, make it fun to drive and give it to us with 250 miles of range starting at 35K$.

More curious than pedantic here; if you can afford one why did you pose who could afford one?

Such a giant waste of materials with that 200 kwh battery. That’s like three Chevy Bolts, or 15+ plug-in hybrids. I guess GM is set on continuing to build giant polluting SUVs. Why not stick with a great V8 and add a powerful hybrid motor????? It would be lighter, faster, cheaper, and more efficient.

Oh you want a sensible EV to soothe your climate concerns and consumption guilt? Here’s a $100k monstrosity that will sail clean through a Civic without slowing down. Our big push for EVs will be spearheaded by morons with too much money trundling around in heavy destructive tanks that spit broken asphalt and tire

A few thoughts:

I would certainly get the ignition key changed.

For one, I think Guryeva-Motlokhov is right; its incredibly unfair for some foreign government to waltz right in and just take someone else’s property. Perhaps she could take this philosophy up with her own government back home in Russia.”

She had that option back in March, for much less than the auction price. Too late now. The gavel dropped, it’s sold.

Simple. Send them a bill for fees and penalties that’s worth more than the yacht. Then tack on additional penalties and fees. Then impound the ship for unpaid fees and charges.

Take these seized superyachts and sink them to make habitats for ocean life, artificial reefs, things like that. If they’re close enough to be seen from shore, sink them with some sweet explosives and sell tickets so people can go watch.

Yeah, that boat did more damage to the environment pulling into the peer than that paint did.
