If you have the option...you have to pick NYC...it isn’t just another city...it is a sponge saturated in money...you can walk out your front door and advertise directly to consumers. It is one of maybe two or three cities in the world where this is true.

Barbara Bach changed my life.

I was simply taken by this movie....me....the ultimate cynic....had no defense for the critical blow to my humanity...

You didn’t argue the point....I think that means I prevailed. Good fun :)

So your policy argument is that we’d rather have 30,000 completely indiscriminate and random deaths than 37,000 deaths resulting from conscious choices made by human beings...the same human beings that typically realize the worst consequences and can be held accountable legally for their poor choices....the same human

If you prescribe to the theory that driving deaths are already 100% random with humans behind the wheel then naturally you will presume that less deaths equals better. But that theory doesn’t hold water with me or anyone else frankly.

Your analogy would result in a reduction in total number of bullets fired..... analogous to implementing more restrictive drivers license prerequisites such as making a federal law to increase the legal driving age or revoking driving privileges after a certain age or a more aggressive points system....or any other

If lives saved is your only metric you have an inarguable point......but perhaps a simple analogy will clarify this natural and justified repulsion of the indiscriminate offing inherent in imperfect Autonomous Cars.
