I have blasted through deeper puddles in my Forester, which is nine years old. This is a ludicrously incapable vehicle. 

wheel fairings on the truck are supposed to come off before doing tough off-road activities.

I have blasted through deeper puddles in my (at the time) 7 year old Xterra and never had a wheel well liner come detached or any electrical issues.
