The idea that FSD is possible with no infrastructure updates is an insane pipe dream 

Yup- plus there needs to be consistent tech knowledge of all road blocks and construction. I can follow a cop if he waves me to go to a center lane, turn around, go left, etc. Self driving might see that the road is blocked but I doubt it can follow his hand signals. Something similar happened to me in a packed Costco lot. The car facing mine had just left, so there was an empty spot there. As I got in the car, another car pulled up behind mine, waiting for my space.

This is why I aim for the farthest parking space possible. Nobody wants those, and I never have to fight for it. They’re all too busy fighting to save 5 minutes of walking. I’d rather have the exercise and less stress.

Yeah that happened to me once.  I immediately got out of the car and informed the sniper that if he got out of his car in that spot, he was taking a trip to the hospital.  He moved his car.

In stories like these, I always wonder what the other party told everyone else from their perspective. “And then this asshat blared his horn at me for a minute before I decided to be the bigger person and let him have the spot he tried to take from me.” 

I used to do things on like that on the rare occasion that I needed to, now I’m afraid to get shot so I just let everyone else take the parking spot/lane spot/drive-thru line spot

After he got out and started walking away, but before he got out of sight, I would have moved my car. Just for spite.

Fines in general should never be a fixed number. Should always be %, otherwise it’s just a fee for rich people to break the law.
