My dude, I’ve had THREE different surgeries on my eye after my right eye experienced a detached retina after an injury. I DO actually see an optometrist every year- because I HAVE to. The rest of my family has stable prescriptions and goes every few years as the prescriptions creep or when they notice odd things in

In my case, glasses weren’t actually an option. Because of an injury my eyes were so different that glasses would have shrunk the apparent image going to my right eye but not for my left. Because the focal point is so much closer, contacts could still correct the vision in my right eye without messing with my ability

Prescriptions for contact lenses don’t work like prescriptions for medications. In fact, they’re less like a prescription and more like a specification. They tell you the amount of correction, send in the order, and then when you need more you just re-order. If your eyes aren’t changing theres no reason to see an

I mean, based on the quoted tower communication it sounds like the pilot was aware something was awry long before getting close enough to actually hit anyone.

Ooh yeah that’s pretty obvious. Tired pilot pushing the end of his fly time is my new guess.
Hell, with the sheer mind boggling number of planes that take off and land every day I’m surprised things like this don’t happen more often.

I’m no expert (I’m largely an idiot, actually) but maybe at night the planes were lined up such that their running lights looked like patterned landing lights and a pilot unfamiliar with the airport just knew that is runway was the righter most runway, so he lined up on what appeared from a distance to be the righter

Yo, Torch I gotta say this witch hunt is ridiculous. Did you watch his original video all the way through while sober? Or nah?

Im tempted to say the ramp-y part on the left side, slightly out of focus, that ends up connected to the bottom of the red bit is the rear wing... the big bit in focus connected to the top of the red bit is a vertical fin... maybe with a second wing across to the other side.

Damn, you’re good

Nope!

The hope is that it goes fast enough you dont have to look behind you.

Your phrasing here definitely implies that the US Shuttle did some loops around DC under its own power and thats a pretty silly image to me.

Oh god... I really liked this guy and his channel. He seemed genuinely bright- I even got the impression he was in a technical field.

The lagoon serves other purposes than simply generating power. Provides safe swimming and recreation areas, a fishing pier, event space, tourism, and many more benefits.
Costs take 120 years to recoup based on the power generation alone- the local economic and social benefits are expected to be significantly greater.

Yeah very odd to give downforce with units of torque...
It’s entirely possible its a typo- 4000 Newtons is almost exactly 900 pounds, which is a fairly reasonable number, if not too small.

But really downforce numbers are pretty meaningless- lift (or downforce) from a wing is a function of the square of velocity, so the

Rimac seemed to get pretty defensive there towards the end, but I’m with him...
The computers on board don’t know how much road there is- they can’t possibly know the external limits of the space, they can only know the internal, kinematic limits of the vehicle.
If there was more road there I guarantee Hammond’s line

Yeah looks way too big. Musta been drunk, don’t remember posting that.
To be fair, an over-the-top performance trim of the 3 would be pretty neat.

A Mazda Hot Hatch to compete against the Focus/Civic/Golf?

This screams FAKE to me...
One video is two dark to see much, weapon is never shown being loaded or charged. Neither a copper sleeve nor charged plasma should be poking a perfect hole through steel, let alone after leaving a clean hole through a pumpkin. My guess is a rifle was fired on his count offscreen or that

You don’t necessarily have to see a target in order to hit it, especially with guided missile systems. Any sort of reconnaissance technology from drones to planes to satellites to boots on the ground could allow this tank to hit painted targets well outside line of sight. That is VERY scary.

Does the Abrams launch
