One interesting problem with self-driving cars is making sure they are fully aware of the conditions of the road they are driving on. Speed limits. Lane designations. The wide variety of signage where very small differences can mean significantly different conditions...
And the BIGGEST

Maybe a dumb question, but I’m seeing Pitot tubes on most of these cars. Are they using them to measure speed over more conventional means or are there really systems on these cars so advanced they’re taking changes in air density and pressure into account?
