If someone is stretching their budget to finance a car for 7 years then it can turn into a disaster. If you’re just doing it for the interest rate, then not so much.

The issue with longer loans is the part where you get upside down on the loan, and the longer the loan the longer you’re upside down. So 0% is great, but if in a year something happens and you need to sell your car, it’s worth less than what you owe on the loan.
Ford will eventually roll out the “F-150 for 150 Months” financing special, so even more buyers can afford that $70,000 luxury truck they need to haul mulch once per year.
