we also use incredible amounts of disposable items thanks to planned obsolescence. That doesn’t excuse it. Not everything that arises from unchallenged capitalism is benevolent.

Part of why we use petroleum based products in every aspect of our lives is because it is easy to make such products when there are fewer restrictions in place, environment be damned. If I have to stop using ChapStick and start using something not based on petroleum, I’m cool with that. Perhaps with more restrictions
