“I’ve never in my life had fun in a car.” Jonathan, that’s the saddest thing I’ve ever read on this website, and I edit David Tracy on a daily basis.”

Brutal

Now that sounds like my personal 80's/90's

This sort of passion and compelling reason for missing the last one is sure to make it happen.

Read the name as Daniel Doughnut Li. Visions of Lotuses doing sweet doughnuts filled my head.

The tach Kenobied you. Decided it was time for you to use the force!

It will be the safest system available. I mean, how much damage can you do, when it’s in the shop.

My old truck got totalled and I need something for frequent towing. Employee discounts + incentives made the Colorado attractive. The diesel solves the 2 issues I had with my old Nissan - fuel economy and towing capability.

I didn’t even realize that they were the same basic motor. Shit, does this mean I have to stop making fun of FCA products?

The 2.8 Duramax in my Colorado matches this for HP and exceeds it in torque. I also get ~23 mpg on average. I guess turbos are good.

Only major issue I had was the dual mass flywheel

No mention anywhere of the freakish act of selecting a gear with your left hand?

I’ve had a very different experience. I’ve owned my 2004 ZHP since ‘07, and it’s been very reasonable on repairs. With maintenance, the only thing that’s really high is the 7 quarts of oil.

This shows the power of great marketing and good technology platforms. I’ve worked with Carmax in the past and they really have their act together from a technology and partnership standpoint.

His Land Rover warranty would completely counter Tom’s points about Carmax corporate profitability.

I for one cannot wait to see the creative plates that arise once these get hacked.

Good point. Speed is so high and cars so wide that squeezing a pass between 2 competitive cars is almost impossible. Even if the lead car makes a mistake, there’s almost no room. Refuellling would help and throw in strategy, but isn’t exciting.

I hope it works out. It was a little frustrating watching the Force India wave-by for the Mercedes drivers

Sure. I’ll throw it in the pipe with Yas Marina and Button, Mexico with Vettel, and every....single...race this year. While you might have a hard time passing a couple of people with a pole-position capable car, most would not.

Ricciardo is a stud. Great drive- RBR needs to figure out their power unit situation if they hope to keep him. They have been pointing priority on the wrong driver for 2 years.
