Texas is a much kinder climate for cars. Expansion tank seems common, but never had a cooling issue on mine. I’m fortunate to have space to do most of my own maint. Did powerflex LCA bushings - highly recommended. Very little harshness and don’t expect to ever have to do them again.

I’m always surprised to hear this. I’ve had my ‘04 ZHP since 2006 and it has been a solid car. Only major issue was the dual-mass flywheel eating it at 70k miles. Fuel pump was a 20 minute DIY. So many aftermarket parts sources that cost no more than a Mazda. Maybe I was lucky?

Badge swap it with a Subaru.

At $600k we may see if some wealthy folks make good on the “Billionaire Pledge”.

To me, the R8 does kind of have an aura of “supercar for accountants”. Probably a small niche.

Does MSR Houston have villas like Cresson? Some of these places are amazing. Entire ground floor is a garage with lifts, etc. Balcony overlooking the track.

I once used a number of these loaner tools to strip a motor needing new timing chain guides, down to the point that I was utterly out of my depth. True story.

Carb on my Briggs LO206, was completely gummed up from letting it sit for 6 weeks with ethanol in it. Gaskets were fine at least.

Watch the 1984 Monaco, 1985 Portugese and 1993 Donnington races. Just for starters. I can’t think of any current driver that has put down moves like that for a stint, nevermind an entire race. Verstappen (who I actually am not a fan of) in Brazil last year is the closest I can think of in the recent past.

Something similar to this was going to be mine very soon...untul an uninsured genius blew a red light and totalled my daily driver. Replacing that put a ding in my 911 account.
