They have announced the game for pc and current gen consoles. Next gen is coming next holiday so my guess is fall 2020. I know most people think it will be later but thats my guess.

Omg. I’ve heard this being teased all year long. Make no mistake. The AKI engine is superior and always was. Pro rasslin is not a fighting genre.

But Yuke’s managed to make some really good, AKI-influenced games with the Day of Reckoning/Wrestle Kingdom series. (Which also had the best commission detection in rasslin game history for some reason.) It’s not like they were always completely inept.

I cannot overstate how happy I am I kept my N64 and WWF No Mercy. Now grab your controllers and head on over.

Genji would be the worst pick strictly because of the game’s abundance of sword users. The problem with characters with guns is that they’re hard to implement for most of their moves when Smash mostly relies on melee - Megaman is the only completely ranged character.
