And I loved Jane’s little smile while saying “tight douchey shirts, 50 shades...” etc. They get each other.

Seriously. I love the Rebecca/Nathaniel dynamic.

Team Joanne all the way (though she could do better than Maureen).

I assume it started as a typical job interview, but then one of two things happened:

Oh man, that sounds... disturbing and sad, but fascinating.

Şîx-Ńïñë.

I will still be referring to Heather/Hector as George, in honor of Suki and Sokka from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Wait, I thought he did speak English, just not as his first language. Didn’t he live in England for a while?

Yeah, there are a few songs from this show that I kind of roll my eyes at and say “okay okay I get it already” (I’ve never been a fan of The Sexy Getting Ready Song), but West Covina is basically perfection.

🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦!

+1000 points for the Amelia Bedelia reference.

He’s basically Tristan, but older and smarter. She always kind of liked, but also kind of hated, Tristan, but never dated him because she liked Dean more and because Paris liked Tristan. But she always was intrigued by that TYPE of rich asshole guy.

That’s a really interesting point—I also remember at the beginning of this season, when Rory and Emily were in Italy together, and Rory called Lorelai about a memory of being at the café where she accidentally ordered “coffee with cheese” instead of “coffee with milk” and then saying that her Spanish and French are

From what I’ve read (which isn’t a huge amount, so I might be wrong), Kirke and Dunham have been friends for a long time, since they were kids. So even though Dunham went to school in Ohio and Kirke went to school in Rhode Island, they were likely still in contact then.

Yeah, agreed. A few weeks ago in comments here someone said that Rachel Bloom said that season 4 would be different from the other three—I wonder if it will focus on addressing Josh’s obvious issues?

Well, her first song was “Good at Yoga,” which was bragging all about herself. Her second song, “Women Gotta Stick Together,” was her shitting over every other woman around.

Yeah, we needed more time with Danny. For example, why didn’t his marriage to Greta Gerwig work out? What lessons did he take away from that? Why did he want to be with Mindy again (aside from her being there for his mom)? Did he actually see how passionate about the fertility clinic Mindy was, or was he just okay

Yeah, the nurse thing was weird. There are plenty of nurses working for agencies who rotate from hospital to hospital, taking on work where they’re needed. Shulman could have easily contracted with one or more of them, at least until they interviewed and hired new nurses.

Yes! It’s one of my favorites, and not a lot of people know about it. Also great comment/name synergy!

All good points. It’s interesting how you point out that the coworkers (including Darryl) objectify Rebecca to add excitement to their lives, because Darryl definitely seems to get how weird that sort of thing is when Maya does the same to his relationship with White Josh. This show is really good at showing how
