Its worth noting that BMW 3 and 5 series used the GM 4L30-E automatic transmissions because BMW's automatic kept failing. Europe is not always better, and from what I have learned, its rarely better, just harder to work on.
You did. You cared. I'm sure you cared once.
Not a personal fan of GM's offerings these days, but not a fan of lies either. Blaming the domestic auto industry for something it didn't even make is a stupid thing to do.
Sorry, but they are identical to the engines used in Europe. Keep trying, but America had nothing to do with this one.
Sorry, the engine was built in England. Thanks for playing though!
My mother had an '84 eurosport! by '89, it was covered in rust and the rearend was scraping the ground. Lost two wheel nuts , but that was ok as the other three were rusted on. Its MPFI engine would always start in the winter, but that was the only thing that worked. W had to give it away that same year, nobody would…
Yes. You have it right on. We don't stress our engines if we can help it. As for mentioning liters VS HP, Americans either suffer or benefit from "biggest number syndrome" I just invented that, but its a real phenomenon.
Too pretty for a BMW. I guess BMW made "Handsome" cars. Conservative, they would say. That thing up there is a great balance between the swoopy vulgarity of a Muria and the wedgetastic(insert 70's Italian wedge car here) Oddly enough, them rims/hubcaps look super fine.
Its a Maserati tho. They do look the same.
Vulcan in a tin shed era import? WIN! Too expensive though.
Its the official car of those with dubious tendencies.
How much higher? Some say up to 8000 RPM. Which, on a V8, I think we can all agree is bonkers.
Vin Diesel will be in his mid 50's by the time this is over. Fast&furious 10: Geriatric Island

My crazy cousin has had about 12 of these. No matter what other cars he has, he always owns a courier and swears by them. He wanted to trade me his Courier, Datsun 620 or his Fairmont Futura for my Skylark when I visited him once. When I declined, he tried to get me to take a not bad looking '79 ford quad cab long bed…
