You understand that power comes at the cost of reliability in smaller engines, right? We can make a helluva good, powerful reliable big engine, the small ones...not so much.

I drive a Fiat, so I can't complain...but maybe, they will let him drive THIS Fiat!

I'm not sure about the emissions, but it certainly meets the new mileage standards.

Hey Torch, I'm one of the few people here that has actually sat in an Elio and had a chance to talk to one of their engineers about this. They are basing this partly off of the engine they are using as their model, the same 3cyl engine that was in the Chevy Metro/Suzuki Swift. (43 city/52 highway 47 mpg combined)

Everything you said except replace HR-V with Odyssey and the article would still just about be true.

Probably. I still go over every year or two, but since I don't live there anymore, I don't really pay too much attention to the details like I did then.

All of what I am talking about was back in the late 80's early-mid 90's.

No, in Japan they have a tax that more or less penalized owners of older vehicles to the point that it was cheaper to buy a new car than continue to maintain the old one. From what Kat was saying, it is now cheaper to do that than it once was.

It's fun to see brute force engineering making a comeback.

That's changed sine I lived there. It was 8 and 10 years when I was there and the tax they imposed was about triple that. Glad to see they've come to their senses a bit.

It's nice actually, unless you just want to get in and get out. That being said, our dealerships could certainly lean a thing or two from theirs.

I remember when this was called the Fisker, Bob.

Dear Fiat,

That sounds like a desperation move, so I can't see it happening. without a very, very good reason.

I don't hate this. Even a little.

I have had the pleasure of seeing a Hellcats in the wild. It was hands down the loudest production bike I've ever seen.

Why am I reminded of a Mirage and typhoon fighter so much when I see this thing? (Typhoon for reference.)

I kind of like the stick location as is, on mine....about 200 HP might be a lot of fun though, in something this size. I think that would be about the max before it would be a full on death trap.

I dunno, I kind of like them on this one.
