I had a 4th gen Mustang model that when you pressed a button, it lit up, made engine rev sounds, and drove for about 10 feet before stopping and making a tire screeching noise. I thought it was the coolest thing in the world, and went through a lot of batteries.

That empty space, to me, is a huge problem. Why not use it for something in the electric only version? I understand if they couldn't use batteries there (probably can't cool them) but jeez, in a 40k car it just reeks of "well, we're pretty much done, but there's this empty space here. Screw it, just put a piece of

I think it all depends. Is this your only car, and don't have access to something else to borrow? Does it have to work in the snow? ST for you.

Well, considering they are all named Q-something, it should account for 100% of their sales...

No, I see this as a benefit as long as it's tracked. The batteries are supposed to last 10 years (I think), but their capacity will degrade over time. This gives you a way to easily trade-in an older one when it's capacity is too low. I assume this would be cheaper than just waiting for the battery to fail and

Most brake lights are binary: they're on or they're off. This would let you know the car in front is seriously slamming on their brakes, perhaps to avoid an accident or something in the road. Simple. Relatively light weight. Probably effective.

So does Tesla keep track of what car has which battery and its age? I'm thinking about the used market and how you'll know what life is left in the battery.

I once drove down to New Orleans from PA and I saw one exit that had FOUR Waffle House locations around it. Yes, there was one at each onramp and one at each offramp. I think it was in Tennessee

Well, obviously the bigger the better. So I nominate the Ferd F-15000:

That was a great read, thanks Jack. Most of this this was before my time, but growing up outside new haven you can still tell hockey has a strong following here. Unfortunately there's no hometown team anymore. It was really sad seeing that empty coliseum there for all that time, it just dominated that area of the

So, in this commercial, a sedan is supposed to be keeping up with my F1 racer. And you think anyone will believe this?

I was thinking the same thing. Where is this from? He looks a lot more comfortable that the P45 at least

Subarus, specifically the ones in Vermont/New Hampshire area. Always a 10 year old wagon driving 10 mph slower than everyone else, with a huge queue behind them. They're also extremely unpredictable, you never know when they are going to change lanes or turn off the road. Any time I'm delayed up there it pretty much

You know how a lot of people on this site complain when Europe gets all the cars we want (DIESEL MANUAL WAGON FTW)? Something like this truck is why I would rather buy cars here no matter what they have. So much awesome
