The only thing I can think of is EPA testing. The hybrid system should provide plenty of torque for daily driving and be much more efficient during EPA testing. Turbos kill real world mileage when you get into boost, i’m betting they hope the EPA doesn’t get into boost at all during testing and only when you are going…
