I know there was some backlash about their Doctor Zhivago a couple of years ago, but every single translation of theirs - with the caveat that I haven't done Zhivago - is, to my eye, the definitive one.

"Today the Supreme Court ruled that 'Goddamn right we can chip you plebe motherfuckers, and we should have done it a long time ago, too.'"
Also, why does the device have to be an implant? That implies a level of trust between employer and employee that's in pretty short fucking supply these days.
I'm gonna have to figure out something new, then. I can't live like that.
Later tonight I'll light a candle for you. You don't deserve that shit.
I feel for you, Mrs. A. I really, really wish that wasn't the case. How in love with the job are you? (And, I mean, what do they do if your biometric screening indicates you are more of a risk?)
Then fuck them.
"We have the technology."
"Okay, do it."
"Should we consider the long-term effects on workplace morale?"
"… the what?"
I will never, never submit to something like that. If that means I'll be broke for the rest of my life, so be it. Any employer that thinks it's a privilege to work at their company is wrong.
I think I'm with you. Right now, this is isolated, but - much like cell phones twenty years ago, and how now if your boss can't contact you at all hours of the day you're the one who's doing something wrong - I can see this potentially getting way, way out of hand. Or into hand. Into a lot of hand.
They're gonna be so good again soon, and it kills me.
I think it's fair to say that for a good number of people there was only one scandal attached to Obama, and it's one that he couldn't possibly do anything about.
There was a screencap going around the other day, it was this shot of Jose Altuve looking very confused (I guess they were interviewing him) and the chyron was literally "Jose Altuve, 3-time All Star" and then below it "Aaron Judge: 32 Home Runs (leads MLB)."
You have to just hope that their fucking parents would say something along the lines of "You know that isn't true, right? President Obama didn't ban people from saying Merry Christmas."
"Not into helping people (I) don't agree with."
You think? I don't think there's anything fundamentally wrong with the Scouts. I never was one, though, because I refused to take the oath. They're maybe a little unreconstructed, politically, I suppose.
Sieg fuckin' heil. For the lulz, right? Baller 4 lyfe.
My living room laptop is a refurb ThinkPad running Mint, and I couldn't be happier with it. Rock solid, quick, and no Windows bullshit.
I really can't stand people who say things like "Sue me for wanting something nice." Where the fuck do you get off deciding what's "nice", Tannis?
That's your answer to everything.
