This scenario, and people who literally slow down to pass, throw me into a murderous rage.

That’s why, when I need to pass, I just pull out. No need to look for overtaking traffic because they are to yield to those who are ahead of them. They aren’t to my left, yet, so that’s no concern of mine at all.
