The original Nathan on Broadway, Sam Levene, could barely sing, causing the only major number for the character to be written in one octave, featuring a series of leading notes to that he could be on pitch when he got to the important notes (call a lawyer and . . .). I think Tatum can probably cover it.

Based on this casting so far, I'd say Emma Stone might make a similarly matched Adelaide.
