I've found a lot of the older collections in used book stores/garage sales/church sales for anywhere between a quarter and two bucks. Maybe you can get him one of those as training wheels leading up to the big book?

I'm finally getting Totoro on dvd for my cousin's young kids (I would have done it for a different set of cousins, but they're probably out of the age range and possibly too violent/aggressive/misogynist(in the way 8 year old boys are) for most of Miyazaki). I really hope they enjoy it because I want to be able to…

Yeah, the main complaint I've heard about Ponyo is it's too childish, which I think is kind of a stupid complaint since the movie is purposefully Miyazaki's youngest skewing film. I think it's perfect for a two year old, and the dad will enjoy the English voice cast. Tina Fey, Betty White, Lily Tomlin, Matt Damon,…

The original film's playing in a theater near me this weekend. Worth going to, or should I just skip it and go see M*A*S*H? (Note, I'd probably see M*A*S*H on a dif night if I did see SNDN.)

Yeah, even though I didn't watch them, I liked reading his reviews. Hopefully he can find another multicam to review (be it current or classic).

Yeah, I feel like they both have different goals. WHM is more interested on riffing off of a single film, while TFH is more interested in riffing off of their mail bag (since their segments on the films they review have become shorter and shorter). They're both really good at it, but I think depending on what you want…

I think my favorites are the Lifetime movies (Invisible Child is amazing, but man, Babycakes is one of the best episodes of a podcast ever), No Retreat, No Surrender with the crazy twist thirty minutes into the film, and the Ewok movies (especially when Brimley shows up).

YES! YES! YES! The Nigeria story about The Great Power Uti is maybe the best true story I've ever heard on a podcast. Domino was great on it (I've never seen him wrestle before the episode, but I was completely fascinated by the entire episode) and Colt is an amazing interviewer.
