"the pivot point for the d-pad had to be as high as possible"

FINALLY... FINALLY they realized out the true root cause of what made their old d-pads so horrible.

I love the 360 controller and I was skeptical about this new controller design but after watching this video I'm pretty excited to get my hands on one.

where is that gif from it looks super familiar.

I kind of like the red one, reminds me of the kind of red and black leather you see in an expensive sports car:

if GT5 is any indication then GT6 will end up being a mid-generation PS4 title.

That's why I put the note "including bosses"

WTF only 8 characters? and only 6 available at launch... For comparison SFII had 12 fighters, and the original MK1 had 9 (including bosses, 10 if you count reptile).

THAT is how magnets work.

check out the list.. sadly it looks like half of them are online achievements and mostly just grinding. 21 single player achievements 17 online achievements, and 11 more hidden achievements which could be either or.

I think you missed the point then. The game wasn't about racing it was about car control. The whole game concept was built around power-sliding your car precisely to gain driving style points (aka "Kudos"), which is why the physics worked the way they did.

I never even thought of the "Metropolis" in MSR to be related to Superman... I always thought of it as the generic term meaning "a large city". Thanks for sharing the insight.

Well if you hated MSR I don't know why you would think you might like PGR, it's the same game just with more polish and more stuff.

I grew up on Nintendo, owned an NES, then SNES, I always had friends who owned Sega so I liked them both but could only afford one. I bought an N64 at launch and my brother bought a PS1 when it came out. I lost interest in the gaming about 2 years into that generation. I got bored of Nintendo's offerings and Sony

Not owning an iPhone is perfectly acceptable.
I usually use Dreamcast ownership as a litmus test for what I consider to be a hardcore gamer
Not owning an Original Xbox means you're probably not all that into homebrew or the open source movement.
Not owning an Xbox 360 means you're probably a Nintendo and/or Sony fan.

...bu

you're a horrible person... MSR/PGR is one of the best racing series ever made. If you own an Xbox or Dreamcast you owe it to yourself to give it a try, it's really quite unique.... and it has absolutely ZERO to do with superheros.

The original game was "Metropolis Street Racer" which made sense since you're driving cars on city streets. From what I understand "MSR2" was code named "Project Gotham" since they were adding NY as a new city and "Gotham" is an old name for NY. From what I've heard MS liked the name "Project Gotham" Better than the

Whether or not your read/see it doesn't change the fact that it's a spoiler.

So the game's not even out yet and we're spoiling the jokes and hidden content.

I thought the whole point of an "easter egg" is to FIND it.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that the rules for one type of delivery mechanism don't always work when applied to another mechanism.

thank you sir! I'll check it out next time I'm in the area.

"But in Japan, it's ALWAYS been 100yen/play, even when we were paying a quarter a credit."

Really? I bought some arcade machine parts from Japan a little while back and the coin slot stickers were labeled 50 yen, granted these were older machines (late 80s early 90s) but still.
