ICYMI, the Kickstarter for the Pimball Arcade Terminator 2 table is ongoing, and there's now a $400 tier where the reward is the ability to beta test all future table add-ons for the game. Only 37 of those are left, so get cracking. Even if you can't afford that, every bit counts.

Slightly related, but FarSight Studios launched a Kickstarter to get the Terminator 2 pinball game into The Pinball Arcade. Please support it and spread the word. If they're successful, they might try to get The Addams Family next.
They probably will for the reasons you mentioned, but as long as they allow self-publishing, like Sony and Nintendo, it'll be all good.
