This is the sort of moment that is incredibly satisfying, but you always feel like it could have been just a tiny bit even more satisfying IF YOU’D BEEN THERE.

I don’t get why DC continues to try to put the cart before the horse. The reason Marvel worked so well (and I know this isn’t news to anyone here) is because they took ENORMOUS risks out of the gate to establish things, before getting the payoff that was Avengers. I’m not sure where the disconnect is, but I’m…
My main concern with the reshoots were the rumors that they felt the tone was too heavy or dark for a Star Wars film. Those may have been refuted since I was heavily following Star Wars news (getting a new job and closing on a house can take up quite a bit of what would otherwise be personal time), but if they’re…
I’m genuinely hopeful for this film, unlike I was walking into BvS. I think the “not made for critics” line of thought can be true for some films, as overthinking something like Suicide Squad can lead to asking questions that just shouldn’t be asked. We’ll see how I feel come Saturday, I guess.
I really like Mary Robinette Kowal’s approach to her audio versions: Well, I did narration for a living before I really got started as an author...So I’ll read my own books (for the most part). Economical AND financially sensible. Who wants to share royalties for a job you’re more than qualified to do?
I’m intrigued. Which is more than I can say for the last several generations. I might actually bite the bullet and buy a new DS cartridge for the first time in quite a while if things keep looking this interesting.
That Exorcist poster is one of the more unsettling images I’ve seen recently. It’s not terribly subtle, but it’s got just enough “Your brain is going to initially edit this so that it isn’t wrong” going for it that when the image registers correctly, it’s more than a little shocking.
Yeah, that’s definitely one of the ones I question. I’m also curious about The Dead Zone and Misery being on the top five, but those are definitely personal questions, rather than objective ones.
I agree completely. It’s hard to imagine Red as actually being Irish, or the story ending on the bus instead of the beach, or there being more than one warden.
I’m curious...How in the world does Shawshank not make the top five? Seriously. This seems like a no brainer.
So....Wait....Is Matt Damon playing himself from that one episode of House of Lies playing a character in China here? I don’t understand how a single white guy gets into the middle of this particular clusterfuck.
Is it Friday yet? Please say it’s Friday so that I can go see this.
Well then...It seems the French can do things right besides coffee, food, and terrifying military exploits. Disney, please take notes. This is what you get when you make a GOOD fairy tale movie (that doesn’t involve Guillermo del Toro getting his visions of fantastic horror all over it, anyway. xD).
Well then...That was neat.
Maybe I’ve missed the news, but how does Flashpoint alter the rest of the larger universe? Because....Ummm...It’s not Star Labs anymore. Which means Team Arrow never got to visit Star Labs, since it never existed in the first place. And since Cisco doesn’t “know you, string bean”, he couldn’t have helped with taking…
Yes they do.
You’re a patriot. If I had a Princess handy, I’d organize a medal ceremony. Best I’ve got is a General who wants to give you a hug.
What is this? I know Thrawn is showing up in Rebels, but I hadn’t heard anything about Zahn being involved with him again.
Hopefully we’re nearing the end of Wendig’s involvement with the New EU. If he manages to get some sort of long term deal, the way Allston or Traviss or Stackpole or Stover had with the Real EU...I think I might cry a little bit.
I think you’re giving it a little too much credit, honestly. He’s far too engrossed in scenery porn and TRYING to create a visual in the reader’s mind. The problem is that when you try that hard, the effort becomes noticeable and pulls focus.
