It is stated REPEATEDLY in Song of Susannah and The Dark Tower that Roland looks like he could be King’s older brother or father. Jake thinks in The Waste Lands that Roland’s eyes are like Eastwood’s eyes, and King said on numerous occasions that he patterned Roland after The Man With No Name in The Gunslinger.

Apparently there isn’t a God. Guess the Saint already got around to blowing his head off. Nice to know the Throne is being used for naps, now.

I’ve suffered through what we’ve gotten so far, and I don’t feel at all bad in stating that I hope it doesn’t get renewed. Despite the love Rogan and Goldberg clearly have for the source material, they’ve made just about every mistake it is possible to make in adapting something:

Finli had a weasel’s head, not a rat head. He was a Taheen, not a freakin Can-Toi.

Seriously??? Seriously?!? SERIOUSLY?!?!

Is there any way in which Snyder isn’t trying to turn DCCU into a horror movie? I mean, really. At this point, even the good guys aren’t good guys anymore.

Maybe they’re swinging wildly in the other direction from Into Darkness...

However, in Return of the Jedi, the second Death Star is far from complete structurally when it is destroyed by Wedge and Lando, acting under cover of the

:-D. That’s the sort of reaction one always hopes to inspire.

Well, that’s easy to answer...

What barn? There’s certainly no barn full of growling, gasping, moaning noises. Silly rabbit.

I can understand that. To me, they’re two very different mediums of storytelling, and shouldn’t be compared as apples to apples.

While I’ll agree that Crank is a great example of a self contained story, the way they ended it suggested they wanted to keep going, even if it made very little sense to do so.

This is a truth.

But...But of course they can charge off with no thought or preparation! That’s how real heroes like Indiana Jones or Harry Dresden would do it.....Right?

I never said I hated sequels. I just wondered if keeping franchises alive after their useful life would ever been see as a bad thing.
