Snap oversteer is the propensity for a car to rotate FAST, in a way that doesn't necessarily come with a lot of warning. Basically the complete opposite of this. You'll never see an Audi rotate fast or unexpectedly. Even here, the car is understeering like crazy for the most part.

You can lean side to side to see the actual sides of the car, or get one of those dumb stick on convex mirrors so you can see where the curb is, or get a better rear view mirror like the Broadway 300mm Convex ($20 on Amazon and worth every penny) so you have more coverage back there.

It doesn't quite get Toronto cold in Michigan, but wind and moisture is a real bitch.

Down is also pretty rotten from a moisture management standpoint, especially if it's under an outer shell of some sort.

Yeah, getting out is hard. They'd literally have to knock me unconscious and drag my body from the car in order to get me out of that seat.

Yeah, people underestimate the insanity of the corvette. My E36 M3 is quick enough that I'm not embarrassed by stuff like 964s, 993s, STIs, etc at track days. But even a stock-ish C5 can pass me like I'm standing still...mid-corner and off the racing line. They are bonkers if you have the balls to drive them at

You can filter out almost all his stuff by just ignoring any article that starts with "Here's Why".

Word up, dawg. We're best if the government stays out of the free market here. If I don't want to hire brown people that's my choice. Nor should anyone be telling me that I need to make special parking spots for cripples. And really, FMLA is just pandering to uppity broads that want a job AND kids. They should be

There's so little grip on snow that weight transfer via braking/acceleration/cornering load is pretty much nothing. At least on snow if you're driving with normal people snow tires and normal people suspensions, you've got a coefficient of friction that's maybe only 15% of what you have on a dry day. My FWD car will

8 weeks starting the day my wife is due to give birth. On the one hand, we'll both be off work for a while, on the other...12 hour drive.

I used to use shaving soap. Started using some fancy >$10/oz oil beforehand and it was great. Ran out of soap and started using just the fancy oil, and it was almost as good. Ran out of fancy oil and tried extra virgin olive oil. That worked just as well and $2 worth of it will last you a year.

Yeaaah, that was kind of my thought. Growing up around chickens, I can only say that I find the idea of someone going to jail for dumping chickens in the trash to be pretty horrifying. This is not torturing a puppy out of malice, and this person is pretty unlikely to find themselves repeating this offense.

Agreed, though it probably looks like more gap than it is because B-spec sticks cars on 15x7 wheels rather than the wider/bigger ones on the tuner cars.

Already done with the previous generation:

For what it's worth, my (previous generation) Fit is quicker in a straight line than my '95 Miata, in spite of being down on power and up on weight by 150-200 pounds. The L15 isn't spectacular or anything, but with a manual transmission it works well with the car.

Yeah, I've made crepes about once or twice a week for 15+ years. Even letting the batter rest isn't super necessary. I think the fancy name just throws people off. They're easier than pancakes from a box. I can have the first ones on the table less than 5 minutes after I walk into the kitchen and with two crepe

It's charity. Roll cage + no seat belts is a great way to make sure a needy kid gets a heart and an old man gets a new cornea.

Negative camber is great if you want keep the contact patch square with the ground when the car rolls. I run maybe 2.5-3 degrees on both my street cars when they hit the track. But if your setup is really stiff, as it is on a drift car, and you're not building a lot of g-forces, that the front suspension isn't

Yeah, except I'll remember this, while "Scrum's suggested software development team size" is going to be wiped from memory when I click Publish

It'll also be totally dry well before it gets to the wall, so I can't imagine it'll stick much at all.
