I don't know how to start there.
I don't know how to start there.
This is crazy, but kids are the purpose of existence, and pregnancy is visible proof that you're capable of meeting your end of that purpose. And women are surprised that some (who knows, maybe most if they're being honest with themselves) guys are into it.
This is great, but where's the date night where women clamor to get with Happily Married Men Who Couldn't Imagine Cheating On Their Wives But Still Want To Be Perceived As Desirable For This Brief Window Before Middle Age Really Sets In So It'd Be Nice To Have Ten Gussied Up Women Surround Them?
Yeah, they didn't get anywhere near that fast (stock) until the 3.2l cars in '84. 0-60 in 7+ seconds is a lot more like it.
That's 58K on a 2.7, which presumably has had most of its issues addressed, but you'd want to be real sure. I can't remember when they went to fully galvanized steel, but I don't think that happened until '78 or '79, either. For $17K-$22K you can have an '84+ Carrera with more power, no real potential for rust…
I don't buy my family-hauler based on how nice they are today. I buy them based on how nice they'll be when they're 175K miles old. No doubt the Mazda or Ford options are nicer to drive and look at, but I have tremendous faith in how Hondas are going to age.
Even if the swap weren't a bit weird (honestly, for that much money you could have a snail and ~200hp), the 17's on this car are an indication that the owner is a moron.
Are there any Targa and T-Top equipped vehicles from before the 2000's that are as light and stiff as their coupe brethren? A T-top does almost nothing to improve torsional rigidity compared to a targa or convertible, and even the best engineered convertibles/targas of the 1980's were pretty damn flexible.
Utter crack pipe.
Yes, but of course BMW fans have been saying that since forever. The new ones always suck. The old ones are the only good ones. I remember people hating the E34, E36 and E39 almost as much back in the day...
Screw that, I'll have a Ferrari 288 GTO.
If Randy Pobst, a guy who wins races in 911 GT3s, is uneasy in the car because it wants to lose the rear end *entering* corners, I'll take his word for it. If that guy can't drive it confidently, chances are not many of us could...
Rear engines. Even less intuitive when combined with a turbocharger.
Damnit, now I wish I hadn't lost the key to my original burner account. ppdd3 will be forever consigned to obscurity.
Even if you know what you're doing, spring compressors occasionally fail catastrophically and do BAD things. Always assume the thing is going to fail and send metal in two different directions at very high velocity.
Most monocoque cars definitely *do not* use MacPhersons, since most (all?) monocoque cars are fiendishly expensive exotics that use much fancier suspensions.
I have an E36 and love the M50/2 and S50/2 motors. They're perfect if you want a motor that feels like butter and goes pretty well, but you're nuts if you don't think this thing would be sheer driving bliss. Best of both worlds: phenomenal german chassis (which will still be almost perfectly balanced) and enough…
I got a 120K mile old non-hybrid 4-cyl 5-spd EX version of the '05 Accord 2.5 years ago for my wife. I fucking *love* that car. Not the most exciting vehicle I've had, but it's far and away the best car I've ever owned. I did a few little "getting ot know you" type things when I got it. Fluids, valve adjustment,…
This was going to be my answer. A 740i sport is still a DAMN good looking car for the money.
Bimmer.
