I can’t see this sticking. During the production process, it will get knocked back to PG-13. It is one thing to take a relatively obscure character and develop an unrestrained R-rated story. But Wolverine is one of Marvel/Disney’s cash cows, probably second only to Spiderman. He’s already been in six PG-13 films…
