Holy crap. I grew up in Huntsville (#2). There is a lot of tech jobs there, thanks to NASA and a bunch of defense contractors and the like. If you have a technical career in mind, there is work to be had there. Cost of living is pretty low too.

If it is a coffee shop where they have free wifi, I won't mind using it. But as you mentioned, if it i s someone's home or office then there's an issue with ethics.
