They patched this a few days ago, performance should be as normal for those folks impacted. No issues with my FX-8320 and my R9-290X.
Mine had this exact issue until the build 10525 update for insiders today. Haven’t seen it re-occur yet. One of the notes in the comments released by Microsoft even indicate an improvement in memory management.
More like someone probably tipped the bookcase at the top with the escalator on to watch the books fall down them for a while, notice how they are almost in the same position with each stair. Just buy your own modem, or upgrade to a tier where they supply the modem, they waved my fee since Time Warner refuses to allow any DOCSIS 3 equipment that is not their own. Your own modem is going to be far better than most of the small ubee modems they hand out, frequently overheating.
