Paid $9500 for my Street Triple R, with $500 of in-store credit at the dealer (hello heated gear!), so $14.5k for a Thruxton seems majorly crackpipe to me. I think one would be better off getting a Street Twin or T120 and throwing on a set of clip-ons.

I subscribed to BEIN just for MotoGP/WSBK and their cycling coverage, but on XFINITY they’re lineup shows “TBA” for like half of the channel schedule, and it doesn’t list MotoGP or WSBK as a “series,” so I have to set my DVR separately for each event and not more than a few days ahead of time. It’s maddening.

As someone under 6', am I condemned to lusting after this while knowing it’s too tall to handle on a day-to-day basis?

I never thought I'd get a ZX-10-induced boner, but here we are...

I’m just starting to get into WSBK (and soon MotoGP), so I’m on the lookout for good write-ups of the series. You've made Lanesplitter far and away my favorite motorcycle-related site, so I hope that you continue to recap the races and do more related stories.

Investigators would later deem Qantas Flight 32 the most damaged Airbus A380 ever to land safely.

Now playing

I will go see this if there is even the slightest chance there’s one scene as good as this:

My cousin and brother-in-law got taken in by the Water4Gas scheme a few years ago, when the economy tanked and gas prices were through the roof. I should mention that they were completely earnest in their belief of this device's effectiveness, so they weren't trying to scam anyone. But they started sort of a side

I keep a puncture repair kit under the seat, which includes CO2 cartridges and pump, as well as a tire pressure gauge. Also keep a few hex wrenches and the like in there. On longer trips, I'll take a Leatherman, maybe duct tape, and an external battery to charge my phone. Anything that can't be fixed with that stuff

Wouldn’t want to be that armed teacher that gets mistaken for the shooter and shot by a SWAT team...

Willing to bet his last words before the incident were “hold my beer and watch this.”

Is this thing even remotely practical? It looks like it has about a quarter of a pillion and pegs (which looks REALLY uncomfortable based on Ducati's photos), but could you really ride it two-up or use anything other than a backpack? Seems more like a second or third bike to me...

I would’ve loved to test ride a Brutale before I bought my Street Triple R, but there are no dealers in the DC area. Now I’m certainly willing to travel to buy the perfect bike, but for a kinda quirky Italian brand, I’d definitely want easy access to a dealer.

No, they just don't get enough snow to justify this type of expenditure. DC isn't going to buy enough equipment to remove several feet of snow when it only averages 15 INCHES a year. These types of storms only hit once or twice a decade. You buy what will be sufficient most of the time, not what you'll need for the

Same.

I can't even get my Street Triple up to redline in first gear...the roads in the DC area just aren't amenable to it. Every once in a while I'll find myself at a stoplight with empty road ahead where I can let loose a bit and maybe get it above 10k, but I really have to go out of my way to find it.

She's also wearing sneakers, but the bike has Look (maybe SPD-SLs, but it's hard to tell) road pedals.

I think a “fast” bike for me would be pointless...I never ride much over the speed limit. A “quick” bike, however, is a different story. My Street Triple R will get up to legal speeds quicker than all but the fastest sports cars, so it’s really all I’d ever need. However, it isn’t particularly fast when it comes to

Came in here hoping you’d say exactly what you said. Thank you. Another purchase that is frequently called an "investment" but absolutely is not: a residence. Yes, real estate can be an investment in some circumstances, but if you buy a residence (house/condo/whatever) expecting to make a profit when you sell it,

That review also solidified my pick of the StripleR...and I also put that jacket (well, the non-patched version) on my Wish List at RevZilla because of it.
