Rode into work in a superfine mist today...frankly, I'd rather have ridden in pouring rain, because the mist was just clouding the outside of my visor and wasn't building up enough to really wipe it off...it just kinda smeared. So I rode open visor for 8 miles in 40 degree temps. At least my commute is almost entirely…
Aesthetics for one. Also, most naked bikes don't have quite as aggressive geometry as their sportbike counterparts, so more air may hit your body, but your position on the bike is more comfortable. For example, I ride a Street Triple, which is perfect for me ergonomically. The Daytona, which is a very similar bike…
BMW is really going to have to nail the price on this one. There's not much room between the Ninja 300/CBR300/R3 (ABS versions) and bikes like the Ninja 650 ABS or CBR500R ABS, so if it's priced between those two points, I think people are more likely to just move up to the bigger bikes.
him having a job their paid for our housing and my education. In return we show our thanks by buying/leasing FoMoCo vehicles.
Let's just all remember that Harley riders or sportsbike riders are not the real enemy. Can-Am Spyder riders are the real enemy.
HD claims this thing gets a combined 42 mpg, which seems very optimistic for a 1,700cc (oh excuse me, 103 cubic inches...), but maybe highway cruising at super-low RPMs makes it possible. Did you keep track of fuel consumption at all?
We were close-ish...main benefit was the 20x zoom on my little point and shoot camera. It sucks for action though (max aperture at 20x is like f/7.1), so no real action shots from the game.
Yep. We have an X3,which is our only car, and the lease is about up, but the car is basically used for my wife’s commute (I ride a motorcycle and bike) and road trips with the dog. Obviously, none of the cars in this segment would be MY choice, but it’s what my wife likes and I can’t justify spending the extra money…
“Capitol” is the building. “Capital” is the city where the government sits. The U.S. Capitol building is located in the capital city of Washington DC.
Was out riding in suburban Md. on Saturday...not surprised I didn’t see these guys though, since I was on roads with curves. They only seem capable of riding on interstates and arterials. Too bad they didn’t make their way into Virginia...I suspect VSP and FFX police wouldn’t be quite so accommodating as PG county…
Let me ask you though, was what you saw of riding ability on your courses reflected in the pass/fail rate?
I’ve taken the BRC course twice now (due to new state not carrying over my M endorsement) and I’d say the women weren’t any worse than men as far as abilities went. What I did notice is that, among men, many already had experience riding motorcycles (either dirt bikes or riding without an endorsement), but none of the…
The buyer just fell for one of the oldest bakers grifts in the book: the Entenmanns’s Shim Sham.
Yeah right...next you'll be saying Cole Trickle looks like Tom Cruise!
Many years ago, while in Cairo, some friends and I were in a cab down by the Khan el-Khalili (grand bazaar), and traffic was horrible. This also happened to be right around the time of one of the mid-day prayers. So the call to prayer goes out, and the driver in the second car ahead of us, who was the first in the…
I just returned from a week-long work trip to New Mexico, which was my first visit there, and I was stunned by how bad the drivers were...and I live in the DC area.
Hopefully he's not in a contributory negligence state.
