You and the poster you quote are completely mixing up two things; the link between violence and mental illness, and the link between MASS SHOOTINGS and mental illness. Almost a quarter of mass murderers had documented psychiatric conditions. And that’s just documented ones.

The problem is in the case of a lot of the mass shooters, they really are mentally ill.
